TeleHealth Care

Teleheath Training & Support

 > Remotely caring for your patients via telehealth technologies is now a realistic option in Australia

Telehealth refers to the use of telecommunications technologies to provide distance care to patients.  Telehealth can provide an extremely time efficient way to compliment your ongoing patient care, particularly in the aged care, disability and rural health sector.

There are currently MBS items for GP assisted Patient to Specialist Telehealth consultations and we anticipate in the near future the possibility of new telehealth MBS items numbers for direct GP to patient remote care, especially for patients in aged care facilities or patients with disabilities.

"Even if you don’t see the need now, why not be aware and prepared for this future in healthcare."

Healthfirst Network™ can help you understand Telehealth technologies  and how it can assist with patient care by offering you a Telehealth training session, including CPD points. See our Events Calendar for upcoming sessions.

In some cases it will be possible to run the training at your general practice or aged care facility. Please call us directly to book these special events.
