This unit is about bringing intelligence and driving technological innovation in General Practice and
the community care sector. It focuses on the use of e-Health solutions and health informatics (data management) that enable better integrated health care.

NEHTA Brochures
Health Informatics (data management) and Intelligence services include:
- GP data management (Practice Health Atlas™ and PENCS Clinical Audit Tool)
- Population Health and workforce needs assessments (Regional Population Health Atlas)
- Application of GIS tools and and Spatial analysis for Health planning.
The unit also focuses on practice systems development and sustainability of General Practice:
- Infrastructure (Facilities) Development
- Practice Accreditation - Quality, Safety & Vitality
- Business Management Systems Support
- Support to Primary Care Collaboratives (Clinical Microsystems & Service Re-design)
- Technology transfer (eg new diagnostic equipment, health kiosks, POCT, etc)
